I had sex three months ago, and I have had two periiods since. I have a period two weeks after I lost my virginity, and then another one a month later, that one was exceptionally heavy. But this month I have not. Well not yet. It was due this week but they aren't 100% regular cause I'm only 16. Do you think I could be pregnant. I am so worried because if I am I'd be like 3 months pregnant. and I've just started my a levels so I'm stressing about them too. But if I go to doctors its hard to get to them because I live in a village in countryside with no shops. I'm stressing so much. Can any of you offer me some help or advice? Thank you.

You are correct: there is no way you are pregnant if you have had two menstrual periods after having sexual intercourse (and did not have sex since this time).

You actually answered your own question, in your original post! You are 16 years old, have irregular cycles....and have not started your period this cycle yet.

I did not read if you posted this already, but what was the date of your LMP (last menstrual period)? (The first day of bleeding). I'm just curious how "late" you are, but please know a range of 21-35 days is normal, and nothing to be concerned about.

If you are still concerned, you may want to use this time to "check in" with yourself, and wonder what else is going on, after you have received so much information about your period, pregnancy and sex. Do you think your choice to have sex occurred before you were emotionally ready? Do you think that might be what you are more anxious about, and are having negative feelings about this, and are feeling like because you've had sex in your lifetime, your chances of pregnancy are increased...even though this only occurs if sex happened during a cycle and you did not have your period that same cycle.

Does that make sense?

i have had two periods seems the day i had intercourse with my boyfriend. It was a predicted infertile day(a day after my period) it was protected and he didnt ejaculated. Also the condom did not break or came off. The period after that was really heavy with a lot of clots, then this month my period was one day early and it had big clots but it wasnt as heavy and the cramps were not so bad. Someone told me that it is possible to have a period up to the third month of pregnancy. Please help iam confused and scare. Thank you

I am still stressing out, am I just being paranoid? There's no chance I could be pregnant if I've bled (period) twice since. Intercourse? All the advice is most appreciated!!!!

Anon, as others have said, the short answer is no. Stressing over this isn't good for your health, and I hope you will find a way to move on. Here's an article that may help with your anxiety. Good luck! Pat

Thank you, Pat. That article did help and made sense and I could relate to a lot of it. I guess I must just be stressing, and over thinking the situation. I mean I was safe, I've had periods since. Maybe its just stress that's caused this one to be late. I will try and stop worrying as much. Thank you. :]

You're very welcome. Perhaps a nice treat for yourself...involving chocolate in some form...would help too. :-) Glad you're doing better.

Oooh, don't tempt me. I may have to buy a tub of ben and Gerry's ice cream to treat myself. I just feel like because I haven't had one, it means the worst, so its worrying me. I know it probably sounds silly. And the chances are so slim, I mean I used a condom, I've had two periods. I mean what are the chances? I convince myself its okay, then I think but there's still a chance! Is that stupid? Or is it just normal to be a little stressed. I mean I do have a lot on with school work! Do I sound like a babbling idiot? Ha. :).
