I had my fallopian tubes removed due to multiple etopic pregnancies. I still have my ovaries, so can I still get pregnant?

Thank you Alison...It seems of the women who have had this same occurance no one has been able to give a answer. Soo..if you get a expert who is able to answer this you will be the super women! lol...Heck..I am even willing to be a test subject to find out why..it would help so so many women to find out and to understand how this has occured.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your question. In most cases, there is little possibility of becoming pregnant without help (IVF) without fallopian tubes. If you read the other posts on here, some women have become pregnant naturally so I guess the answer is possibly. Have you tried a pregnancy test?

you will get pregnant but with IVF that is in vitro fertilization. The reason is because there is no fallopian tube in which egg and sperm will join.

You can with IVF. I lost both of my tubes because of two eptopics and I am a very proud mommy of healthy triplets (took 2 IVF cycles).

I am 35 years old and had an ectopic pregnancy in 1994, it burst and I had an emergency surgery that took my left tube and a portion of my right tube because the burst was so bad the doctors told me that it would be a 99% chance I would not be able to conceive. A year later I was pregnant with my son, 2 years later I was pregnant with my daughter and 2 years after that I had another son. I became pregnant again after 2 years and it was another ectopic in which they had to remove the half of tube. I want another baby and was told I would have to do the IVF I can not afford the surgery but heard of many woman getting pregnant without the surgery. No one is really sure how our bodies work except the one that created it So, I want to trust in the LORD and pray for all the woman in the same situation and hope we all get what we are after!
