Hi Anon

Thanks for this question, it's a great one!

Massage is not going to directly help anyone lose weight. Diet and exercise will do that.

But massage is very good for the body and can also help with your mental wellness so in a round about way, it can help.

Massage helps to ease soreness, working on muscles and tissue that is tried or strained. Massage can help to relax a person, flush out toxins in the body and help our immune systems. They can ease pain and headaches and ease stiffness.

Massage can calm and relax the mind, also easing emotional stress as well as physical pain.

So as you can see, there are many benefits to massage. If a person has physical shortcomings from being over-weight, massage can help with that pain and discomfort. And if a person is feeling low about themselves due to being over-weight, then massage can relieve that mental stress.

So massage is good for overall health, which can stimulate someone who is overweight to make some positive chances. However, there is no direct benefit of weight loss.

Massage often includes oil that can moisturize skin and make it feel softer and smoother.
