My last menstrual was december 15th which was 48 days long. I also just stopped taking my birth control in October.

It was just my last menstrual cycle that was was irregular and before starting birth control my cycles were around 28 days long. No, I have not been medically diagnosed with anything and my reason for stopping birth control is that I am engaged.

I know it's not fun to not know when your period is going to come. Your body doesn't have clock-like accuracy in function, and can be affected by environmental factors like sickness, diet, medication, excessive exercise, etc. If you are trying to get pregnant, or just open to the possibility, you may want to schedule a checkup with your gynecologist to discuss how to increase chances to pregnancy, and get on a prenatal vitamin.

Progesterone cream has many uses, and can help with ovulation.
However, it is important to know if you have a deficiency in progesterone before using a progesterone cream. If you are not deficient in progesterone, you would want to know what the real cause to "unregulated" cycles are, and introducing more progesterone into your system (if it is not medically recommended) could cause problems as well (progesterone cream article.
Do you know why your periods are irregular, or has it just been your last menstrual cycle (since December 15th) that has been irregular? How long are your cycles, typically? Have you been diagnosed with any medical conditions, or have received any test results indicating a deficiency in certain hormones? Lastly, why did you decide to stop using birth control in October?
