Can Someone Help Me?

Hi, I don't feel very good and there is no doctor to understand my situation and help me and I don't know what to do like this. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and because of this I have autoimmune infection. It's been awhile I have severe nausea and have no appetite. I was told my blood test of IgM is high that's the cause of having infection. There is no doctor of mine to understand this issue and last week because of how I'm feeling I end up going to the emergency room and they weren't very helpful either. Almost every night when I go to sleep my chest and head keeps pounding and my breathe keeps tasting like infection. I keep feeling this pounding/palpitating feeling on where the thyroid is located and this feeling really scares me and after the pounding stops I get blurry vision and get dizzy. Since Sunday I feel worse and ever since I'm having chest pain and feel heavily tired. I don't know what to do like this and what doctor would be able to understand this issue of mine. I don't know what to really do like this. Please tell me what you think I can do almost every night I keep taking Tylenol until I can sleep and I don't feel right keep on taking this.
Thanks,
Melissa

Hello Melissa6666,

I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.

For the benefit of all our readers, Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a condition in which the immune system attacks the thyroid gland. The resulting inflammation leads to an underactive thyroid gland. It is also referred to as Hashimoto's disease and is most common cause of hypothyroidism in the United States.

Melissa, I have never heard of an "autoimmune infection". What do you mean by this?

Hashimoto's thyroiditis or Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disorder.

The symptoms that you describe sound very much like an response to anxiety.

Regards,
Maryann

Thanks for your reply. The symptoms I have my doctor told me I have infection and he was explaining this to me when he told me my blood work of IgM is high. I'm not sure what is IgM exactly but my doctor told me mine is high and I have infection. Since Sunday I'm having chest pains and my chest keep pounding and feel light headed. For infection and chest pain can it be the reason why I have chest pain? Which doctor do you think it be right to see for chest pain? Please let me know soon.
Thanks,
Melissa
