can a whole grain pasta make your syptems worse?

its seems like the more i eat oatmeal, high fiber ...and high fiber muffins, also whole grain healthy choice dinners frozen i get very gassy and have digestive constipation and diareha.

Thanks for your question - it's a great one!

To answer your question - yes, whole grain foods can cause more gas than refined flours.

The reason is that the fiber in whole grain foods is not removed - a lot of it is removed in refined foods (like white bread, white rice etc). So you can experience more gas as a result.

But fiber should help with regularity so you may have something else going on (you may have undiagnosed celiac disease, for example. Click on celiac disease to learn more!).

What do you mean by you have both constipation and diarrhea? One is the opposite of the other. Do you experience one or the other, based on what you eat? Can you let us know a little more?
