I am a first day starter and missed the first pill of my pack (started a day late) I take Yaz. according to the pill pack, it says missing only one in the first week requires no back up protection. At the end of that first week (The day after the last day of withdrawal bleeding) I had unprotected sex, though my partner withdrew. On Tuesday and Wednesday (the sex was on sunday) I missed my pills, and doubled up on Thursday and Friday. What are the chances of pregancy?

Hi,
During my first week of a new pack, starting on a Saturday. I took it as normal at 9am everyday until Friday i has unprotected sex (but he pulled out) and forgot my pill. I took it at 11pm- 12am that night when I got home. Following Saturday (coming to a week of the pill) I had unprotected sex twice. After the first time, he did not urinate or wash, instead he wiped off with tissues. Im currently now towards the end of the second week but I'm an over thinker and I've been sick with cold and flu with uneasy stomach of having the urge to vomit. Is there a chance I may be pregnant?

Hi,
So I'm on the sronyx pill and I had unprotected sex my second week. Then I missed two pills during my fourth week but made up the pills by taking two the next day but I had dropped my pill and couldn't find it that Saturday which was the day before my placebo. Now i am two days late. What are my chances of being pregnant??

Hey! I just got put on the pill two weeks ago, but my Gyno told me to wait a week after my period to start them. So I ended up starting my first weeks dosage the 30th of April, which was last Sunday. I messed up and missed a pill that week so I doubled up the next morning. I went out of town this past weekend and ended up having unprotected sex Saturday night & Sunday morning. I took my pill Sunday morning and ended up throwing it up 30 minutes later. My period tracker says my ovulation day was on Saturday and it says I was still fertile on Sunday. Is their any way this could end up in pregnancy?

Hey. I was on the pill for 3 days. Had sex took the pill the night and the day after and then missed 2 days in a row of pills. I doubled up and took a plan b (per the instructions on my bc) then had slight bleeding. I am now 8 days away from my period and had light bleeding yesterday (dark and bright red blood)! We have an almost 3 month old baby (this is my 2nd round of birth control after delivery) so I'm freaking out. Should I be concerned about pregnancy?

Hello Anonymous,

I do not think you need to be concerned that you became pregnant.

However, please call and speak with your obstetrician. The concern is you have recently give birth, your hormones are returning to the pre pregnancy state, you have started birth control and taken an emergency contraceptive.

Maryann

I have a question, i'm married and on the birth control pills. I missed my pills 2 days in a row and on the first day i had sex a couple of times(he didn't pull out), i totally forgot to take my pills because we were so busy. What is my chance of being pregnant? Or will i be good if i just continue to take my pills normally?

Hello Anonymous,

Missing two pills in a row, not making up for the missed doses, and not using back up protection did put you at risk for triggering ovulation.

Missing seven consecutive doses poses a high risk.

Double check with your gynecologist but I think you could continue taking your pills normally.

Maryann
