Ok. reading this back and forth argument is making me sleepy. Lady, YOU CANNOT BE ON YOUR PERIOD WHILE CARRYING AROUND A CHILD!!! Stop being stubborn and listen to what they are saying! I have miscarried 3 times. Once with twins and twice with one child. With the twins I was 2 1/2 months, the next one i was 4 months and my last one I was 3 months with an ectopic pregnancy. Understand when I say period during pregnancy is NOT possible. you might occur bleeding during pregnancy. Even around the time your regular flow is expected but it is not your actual period. If it was, you would not be pregnant anymore! If you shed your lining, where would the baby be? It attaches to the lining! Thats where the placenta grows! DUH! You cant believe everything out of a doctors mouth woman! Do you realize how many quacks are still in practice? Do YOUR research!

Hey,
July 19, 2011 - 2:45amI do know that i cannot be pregnant if i got my period, however, pregnant women can still bleed each month at a specific date. is that right?
I Have a question, how would i differentiate my period blood from any other kind of bleeding (if the incident happened around my expected cycle timing), how would i know!
Other than my period, i didn't experience any kind of bleeding before.
I am 19.

Actually, I got my girlfriend pregnant without us having sex. Lying next to each, we mutually masterbated. After I came, I wiped up semen and rubbed her clit and fingered her. She got pregnant that night.

precum can come out even if he doesnt cum or you dont see it so be careful. even if he doesnt cum you can get preg by little stray sperms. theres also a high chance sperm can drip into the vag, as its all really close. you could have gotten preg.

You dont get you period when you get pregnant but you can have bleeding but its not the same as your period cause your period is the lining of your uterus stripping and it cant strip if you are pregnant unless you are having a miscarriage

you CAN ovulate during pregnancy, superfetation is rare but HAS actually occurred....if you can ovulate why do you people keep arguing that you CANNOT have a period...where else would the unfertilized eggs go??? UGH! stop arguing....periods and ovulation CAN and HAVE occurred during pregnancy

Hi Anon,
Thanks for your input. Superfetation is an extremely rare phenomenon that occurs more on animals than it does on humans. I think in history there have only been about 10 known cases of this occurring in human beings so it's not something we would suggest to someone asking a question on the possibility of pregnancy.
The argument on ovulation is that unless its this "Superfetation" phenomenon, women do not ovulate during pregnancy. There is no unfertilized egg because she is already pregnant, hence there is no egg to be fertilized and therefore no period. Any bleeding that occurs during pregnancy is not menstural cycle bleeding but instead related to either miscarriage, placenta previa, or unexplained bleeding. Please don't let this phenomenon mislead you into believing that any woman who bleeds in a pattern that appears to be a "period" can get pregnant while she is already pregnant-- it is extremely rare.
