I've read a couple of times that some women still get their period for a couple months while pregnant? Is this true? Just wanting some factual info:) say a woman has sex on the day her period comes, can she be pregnant? Thanks in advance :)

Guide

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Women with a normal 28-34 day cycle and bleeds an average 2-8 days will not become pregnant during her period. The reasons being that the egg only survives 24 hours after ovulation. If it is not fertilized during that time it comes out with the menstrual blood about 14 days late.
Vaginal bleeding that occurs during pregnancy is much different than a normal period. It is only spotting that lasts a couple days.
