cancer and diabetes

i had thyroid disease since 1974 overactive than under was treated with radiactive liquid than in 1987 colon cancer,than 2007 2nd stage thyroid cancer and 2010 full blown diabetes insulin and pills i am not obese no diabetes in family can't find a doctor to control my diabtes i feel iwas overlooked for pre-diabetes even though i went for blood work for all my conditions i just read an article on this web-site the connection with diabtes and cancer except i got cancer first than diabetes!!!!
