Hi again,
It is normal for your period to change within the range of 26-28 days. And it also can change in length, how heavy it is, color, etc. These are all considered normal. Have you been able to track your cycles so you have an idea when to "try" to get pregnant? If your periods are slightly unpredictable, you may want to add a day or two on each end of your "trying time" to increase your chances of attaining a pregnancy. Bear in mind, in any given month, you have roughly a 20% chance of getting pregnant anyway, so it may take a bit of work to make it happen, especially if you have other health conditions.

Hi OluwakemiSiyanbola12,
Thank you for your question and for joining EmpowHER. What you have described as "dark discharge" could be your menstrual period. It is completely normal for the color and consistency of your menstrual blood to change. This is not considered irregular. If you have periods that are not within the range of a 21-32 day cycle, or if you have excessive bleeding (longer than 7 days at a time, or so heavy that you need to change your pad or tampon every hour), then your period may be considered abnormal.
Have you been diagnosed by your doctor with a particular condition? How long have you been trying to conceive?
You also mentioned weight gain. How much weight have you gained, and in what time frame have you gained it? How has your eating been, and do you exercise?
Hope the information helps. If you still are not clear on what is going on, please let us know how we may be able to help you better.
Good luck!

(reply to Christine Jeffries)

hi Christine Jeffries
Thanks for your respond, My period cycle range from 26-28 days, meaning its not stable regarding the days, and the bleeding last for just 2 days, most time it will stop after day 1 and resume in day 3. the content is very minimal, And about my weight gain region in my middle region(belly & thigh) i have gone to the doctor most time which he recommend Pelvic scan and the result showed normal ovary sides with minimal fluid in the Pouch Douglas. and he recommend antibiotics. then was later diagnose few months later that i have staph aureus. which i have treated. i have been TTC for 13 months now. my gained weight in 40kg my eating habit is very unstable i crave for food a lot that i control by eating fruits to claim the urge.
