Changing facial features and pregnancy

I've heard the old wives tale that the pregnancy of a girl take the beauty of the mother during pregnancy, but...

My best friend is due this summer with a little girl and is recently having some changes with her eyes. Her one eye seems to be dropping and almost looks smaller in size compared to the other. This isnt something shes experienced before. I'm very concerned but she seems to be less concerned. I'm begging her to make an emergency dr. appointment. Am I over reacting?
