Nothing seems to effect it. It comes and goes, sometimes bad enough to put me down, most of the time it just stops me from doing anything. Can last for hours to just minutes. No sweating, heart racing, left arm pain, sometimes into neck and jaw. Symptoms have been ongoing for years. Desert Stom/Shield veteran.

Maryann Gromisch RN Guide

Hi,
First, I want to thank you for your military service and risking your life for all of us. I thought the cause of your pain might be muscular. But, it may be a respiratory problem involving your left lung. Do you know if you were exposed to any toxic substances during the war? Do you have any contact with former members of your regiment? Do any of them have the same symptoms? How extensive was the cardiac work up to determine that the pain was non cardiac? Has acid reflux been ruled out?
