About two years ago I was infected with chlamydia, I was treated. It's been a year and half of trying to get pregnant and I can't, because I had chlamydia does that mean I am not able to get pregnant?

Guide

Hi Marisol,

Thank you for your question with the EmpowHER community.

If not treated, chlamydia can lead to damage to the reproductive system. If not treated, the infection can spread to the uterus and fallopian tubes and cause PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) which can cause infertility.

However you have been treated. Work with your doctor to explore increasing your chances of pregnancy.

Be well,

~Gillette
