Hi Sheila

Propofol is an anesthetic and is generally safe when used for it's proper purpose (surgery) and is administered by qualified professionals (as in, not Michael Jackson and his doctor).

It is often used for patients who tend to wake up during a colonoscopy. You shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Good luck, I hope you get good results!
