concerned about belly fat. never had a problem until maybe 9 mos ago. is it ovarian cancer, maybe? Have low blood platelets diagnosed at least 2 years ago.

Have not beeen eating more. breakfast...1 boiled or fried egg and rye toast and coffee w/ 1 sugar spoon of sugar or splenda and 3tbsp of half & half cream.Lunch is our big meal of the day..........1/2 pork chop baked in tomato sauce, 1/4 c mashed potato, 1/4 cup of steamed spinac, 1 very small piece of commercial cake and iced tea with agave and lemon. The rest of the day starting at 3:30pm ...wasabi almonds, tart cherry juice in water, 1/2 slice roll w/ sauce and pork from lunch, nectarine, 9 frozen cherries.

This sudden kind of belly fat could be for various reasons:

You may be entering menopause
You may have a cyst or some kind growth in your groin/pelvis/digestive tract or reproductive organs.
You may have undiagnosed food allergies.
You may have something obstructing an organ or passageway
You have internal swelling
...or some other reason.

Even if you are not in pain, please see a doctor straight away about this rather sudden development. Whatever it is, the earlier it's seen to, the better off you'll be.
