Condom failure

I had sex with my boyfriend on Friday night. We used a condom, and he pulled out right before ejaculating. He threw the condom in my garbage. I started getting paranoid reading about condom usage and getting pregnant. Today, Wednesday, I took the condom out of the garbage and filled it with water. At first I didn't notice any holes or leaks. Then I squeezers the condom, and a stream of water started shooting out about 3 inches away from the tip. As I continued to squeeze, more holes appeared. Do you think this was a faulty condom, or did I cause the holes by squeezing the condom that was sitting in my garbage for 5 days? I am nervous that some precm or semen leaked out during sex.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for your question.

Most likely, you caused the holes in the used condom, which had been sitting among the garbage, by filling it with water and squeezing.

Regards,
Maryann
