Could I be pregnant?

I am 21 years old and I started my period at 10 years old! It has been regular ever since! My husband just left for Iraq a little over a month ago! My period has been a little late every month for the past few months from stress of the deployment! I usually start around the 22nd of every month! I believe he came inside me once or twice the week before he left! I started my period the day he left which was August 25th! But it was kind of short and a little lite I think! Now I am experiencing tender breasts and bloating and frequent trips to the ladies room and my period is approximately 7 days late! I am not sure if it is late because of stress AGAIN or if I could be preggo! Please tell me your input! Thanks so much!

Dear Anon,

Please thank your husband for serving our country and thank you for your post. Was your period in August very light? Like pinkish-brown spotting? or just a little lighter than normal? It very well could be that your suffering from stress may be causing late periods but the frequent urination makes me wonder. Bloating and tender breasts may be a sign that your period is coming as well as a pregnancy symptom.

Seeing as you are afraid that you may have been pregnant since last month and are currently 7 days late, consider taking a home pregnancy test and that should give you a clear response to your question.

Good Luck and keep us posted!
