I was put on Metformin to regulate my system, which worked. Its now over 1 week had intercourse 5days back. Legs are swollen, breasts have been itchy, but not sore, but itchy. Could i be pregnant?

Guide

Hello Janine,

Metformin is principally prescribed to control elevated blood sugar levels but is also used in women withPCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome. It may make menstrual cycles more regular and increase fertility.

If your period is over one week late and your menstrual cycles have become regular, now is the time to take a pregnancy test. It is the best way to know if you are pregnant.

Regards,
Maryann
