Could I be Pregnant? The famous question..

I have notta clue as how I should go about this..
I was on birthcontrol, and during my fertile time I was also on antibiotics I had been on antibiotics for about three days before my partner and I had unprotected sex. This date was on April 30th, about nine days after I had some brown spotting for around 3 days. Then it stopped. I have taken a couple home pregnancy tests and they all have come back negative. I am now a week late on my period, but this would be my 4th week of pregnancy, is it too soon to actually take a test and go by it? I've had a few symptoms like; gas, bloating, eating more, and just feeling pregnant. Is there a large possibility that I am pregnant but I am testing too soon?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question. You did experience some bleeding for three days and although short lived, this is a good sign of not being pregnant. April 30th was the date that you had sex and then 9 days later (bleeding), I would wait until at least the second week of June to take another pregnancy test again. It would appear to me that the bleeding may have been your period and time would be the only answer to see if you miss a period or experience no bleeding (spotting).

I hope this helps.

Okay thank you. Also is it possible that the brown spotting was implantation bleeding?

From my understanding, you had numerous days of bleeding, not just a one-time brown spotting, correct?

Implantation bleeding goes un-noticed by most women, but when experienced, is seen as either light spotting on underwear or on toilet paper after using the bathroom. It's really that little of an amount.

It sounds like you are trying to find any symptom that you might be pregnant, which I assume means you are trying to become pregnant? If this is correct, would you like to talk more about trying to conceive and the emotions behind it?
