So I've been off of birth control for a couple months now, the hormones from the pill was making me sick so I voluntarily decided to take some time off of them. Since being off the pill my fiance and I have had unprotected sex. I was pretty regular with my monthly visit from aunt flow, always starting the day I was suppose to or the after. Well this month I was 4 days late, then I had 2 days of light flow, then one day of nothing followed by some disharge with a little blood in it the next night. Now, still no regular period, I usually go for 5 days (always 5 days since I hit puberty) this is very abnormal for me. I had a week and a half of cramping along with a week of nausea before the 2 days of bleeding happened. Since those 2 days I havent had any cramping but the nausea has lingered. I've taken pregnancy tests but all negative, I'm just confused as to what is going on. Any advice?

Yes. Test was negative. Still nauseous on and off but my Dr. said hormones could do that. So...not pregnant just am having some imbalance of hormones.

Hi Anon,

How are you? Did you take a hpt today?

Hi MrsS,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! It doesn't sound like implantation bleeding to me. I think that since having stopped taking the pill your body is having irregular bleeding which is very common when you stop or change birth control. Since the tests keep coming back negative, it's highly unlikely that you are pregnant. Honestly, I think it is just a side effect of stopping the pill.

MrsS, does this help?

Best,

Kristin

That helps, my Dr. Still wants me to take a hpt this friday, I'm still very nauseous and have had an increase in frequent urination but it could very much be the hormones.
