Q:

Could I be pregnant or is it just stress?

I had sex for the first time on Feb. 14. It was my 8th day of my cycle; my period lasts 7 days. We used a condom and it didn't break. I started worrying about the possibility of pregnancy a few weeks later, though I had no signs. I should have gotten my period last week. I go 27-33 days so Friday was the last possible day i could get it. My breasts haven't changed though I've been making a lot of trips to the bathroom to urinate, and have been tired lately which is making me worry more. I also have a little nausea every now and again, though i don't know if that could be stress. I'm going to take a test tomorrow and hope that its negative. Is there any advice you can give me?

Hi,
The only advice we can provide to you is: take a home pregnancy test. It is unlikely that you are pregnant, as condoms are up to 95% effective at preventing pregnancy, and it sounds like you used it correctly. Great! Unfortunately nothing is 100%, but condoms and hormonal contraception (pill, ring, IUD, etc) are close.

Other good news: it is too early for "pregnancy symptoms", so whatever you are experiencing could be an upcoming period or stress.

Please let us know what the home pregnancy test results are!

The test came back negative. I think I'm just going to wait it out this week, maybe the stress is delaying it. Though, to be honest the test did calm me down a lot now. But we'll see what happens.
