I started gettint symptoms like bloating, feeling like I have to vomit, always hungry, and fatigue. i dont think its my period coming because it just left. thinking im pregnant, i stopped taking b/c pilld for 3 days now. could i be pregnant?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Very true.  It's pretty early to start feeling these symptoms.  But your chances of pregnancy are higher if you have been on and off the pill.  The only way the pill is effective is taking it everyday as prescribed.  You might want to wait until your period is due and take a home pregnancy test.  It might also be good to talk to your doctor about another form of Birth control. Condoms can also help against an unwanted pregnancy and STD's.

Hey Anon,

yes, there are chances you could be pregnant because of the missed bc and unprotected sex.. although it is a bit early to feel all those symptoms right away. you could also be feeling all that because of the hormonal imbalance you created by missing on bc and then taking double doses for 4 days and then stopping again.
in any case, your bc is not effective now, so if you don't want a baby, i strongly suggest you and your boyfriend start using a condom, as sometimes suspending birth control can increase your fertility in the 1st month off the pill.

best,

Mena
