My boyfriend and I moved in to our own place two weeks ago. Between getting everything organized and working full-time/overtime, I have been extremely stressed and my mind all over the place. Because of this, I have forgotten to take my pill a few times. I missed my pill on a Tuesday, so I doubled up on Wednesday. That Thursday, I took my pill on time. Friday I forgot my pill again, and Saturday morning also. I remembered to take them both late evening on Saturday. My boyfriend and I have have sex almost every night this week though. Is it possible that I could easily become pregnant?

Guide

Hello and thank you for sharing your question,
I'd love to give you advice on the matter.
Whenever you miss you pills, it will decrease their effectiveness.
In these cases your cycle will be disrupted, since your body did not receive the hormones at the proper time. Also, you should never double up when you miss a pill. Simply start where you left off and take one a day. Or if you remember a few hours late, take the pill late. Then wait for the next day to take the next.
No one can tell you whether or not you became pregnant. You will need to wait until you get your period. Do not take pregnancy tests before that time, because they will be inaccurate. Like I said, your period will be irregular from not taking the pills correctly, so an irregular period does not necessarily mean pregnancy.
The only thing you need to do now is wait at least a week after a missed or irregular period, then take a pregnancy test.
