Q:

Could I get pregnant if?...

My boyfriend and I were messing around...I didn't have clothes on but he had boxers on. We started to have sex with his boxers on (he did enter me with his boxers on). He has reassured me that there was no "pre-cum" on him and that while he was inside me with his boxers on he wasn't close to even coming while we were messing around. When he was almost ready to come, I got off him immediately and he pulled the boxers off of him so I know that the boxers were separating the two of us. I am on the pill and I have been for about a year now but the night it happened just happened to be my sugar pills week. He keeps promising me that I couldn't get pregnant, but I guess I need a little more support. I am scared and really nervous, any advice would help. Thank you.

Thank you Christine, I appreciate your advice! But basically, off of my story I should have nothing to worry about?

As I said at the beginning of my reply to you, you have nothing to worry about--you should be covered. Keep taking your pills and using your backup method like you did, and you'll be fine.

Hi kca777,
Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER.
Being on the pill is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, and the withdrawal method (not ejaculating inside you) is about 70% effective. Between the two, you should be covered and will not get pregnant.
