Q:

Could I still be pregnant?

My period has always been irregular, so I stopped keeping track of it, and I'm not on any birth control, I had sex around 5am on July 7th and again on July 11tu around the same time. Around the 16th and the 17th I started having drownish discharge and pains that my pregnant friend told me may be implantation pains, and light bleeding. But last on the 17th I started actually bleeding. So I was wondering if even though I think I started my period (it's still kinda light) if I could still be pregnant? Thanks for reading. X

Hello Luna3moon,

Welcome again to EmpowHER. I see that yesterday you asked if you could still be pregnant and have a period.

It is very unlikely that you are pregnant because you say you started your period yesterday. That would be confirmed if the flow continues as it normally does during your monthly period. What to see what happens this week.

Regards,
Maryann

My friend is pregnant, and still had a period that same month.

Hello Luna3moon,

Well, you can always take a pregnancy test, either a urine home pregnancy test or visit your gynecologist or clinic for a blood pregnancy test.
