Could my girlfriend be pregnant?

My girlfriend and I had unprotected intercourse on her 6th day. However, there was no ejaculation that occurred. She usually has a 30+ day-cycle. We had another unprotected intercourse on her 15th day and again, no ejaculation. On her 17th day, we had protected sex and ejaculation occurred outside her vagina. But here's the weird part. She had light bleeding on the night of her 17th day, and on her 19th day as well. Can she be pregnant??? thank you for your help

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. Unfortunately, you usually have to wait until your girlfriend actually misses her period to find out if she is pregnant. From your post, I don't think you are there yet. If she misses her period, then you will have to take a pregnancy test. Her minimal bleeding is not that uncommon - sometimes this just happens with no real good explanation.

My best advice is to wait and see if she misses her period and then take the pregnancy test. Has she ever thought of possible birth control methods to also protect herself from pregnancy since you are both sexually active? In that case you should always use a condom plus birth control.

I hope this helps and good luck.

Missie

Thank you so much for your comment. Another thing I would like to ask is based on the time we had intercourse, could she be pregnant? Thank you for your help.
