Detox with crohns disease?

Hi i would like to detox after years of not looking after myself, I am now 35 years old and feeling sluggish, tired and having problems sleeping. I have had crohns disease since 1999 and do not get affected by any food etc and find i can eat anything. I am a little overweight and would like to detox and then eat healthy and exercise. I am looking at having colonic hydrotherapy done along side a detox. Can anyone suggest a detox plan or give me ideas on what to eat/drink on a detox. Is it best to have a few days drinking water? How long should i just have fluids and how long should i detox? I have looked at detox plans but do not want to have to take tablets to supplement a detox. I would be very grateful for any help, i have previously asked my crohns nurse who has said she is unable to give me any advice on this matter! Thank you

Hi caroljulie31,

Unfortunately, you will have to ask your doctor if your body can tolerate a detox diet or not. If your Crohn's nurse said she cannot give you advice, it may be because it is not recommended for those living with Crohn's disease. Here are some videos on detoxing that you may find helpful:

Hope this helps,
