Dear Anon,

First and foremost, Do you have health insurance or an OB/GYN that can see you as soon as possible? 6 months is a VERY long time to wait to see a doctor when you have these symptoms. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease can result from Chlamydia or Gonorrhea and is a very serious condition which can be treated with antibiotics. Though it is not necessarily caused by intercourse, many many times it is and if it is caused by another STD, then you need to be tested and treated for both.

Because you have had these symptoms for 6 months I am extremely concerned that this is what you may have and that it may actually cause permanent reproductive damage.

Will you see a doctor and keep us updated?
