Well, like any infection, virus or medical condition, it's likely to get worse and not better. Your symptoms are not going anywhere, Anon - it's time to be responsible for yourself and do the right thing. Why would you not want to?

If you wish to have multiple partners at such a young age and NOT use any kind of protection, then you are running very high risks of contracting some kind of virus or disease. Getting checked out ASAP will increase your chances of a fast recovery!

Also, make sure you don't have any kind of unprotected sex, including oral sex, until you know what's going on. You may pass along a virus or disease to someone else.

We do not know what you are suffering from Anon, but it's best to err on the side of caution. It may be something simple, it may be something more complicated. We cannot tell you what.

We wish you the best and please use all the information given to call. Now that you have names, addresses, websites and phone number of *free* clinics there is no reason not to address this. And I promise you, these clinics are very friendly, efficient and professional. You will not be made to feel uncomfortable in any way. Going back and forth like this is not necessary, so don't stall anymore (no more "what ifs" etc!) - and make that call! I promise it's the best thing you can do for yourself.

We look forward to hearing an update after your visit!

Hi, Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHer. We're so glad you found us.

Anon, you really must see a doctor. Why have you put it off so long? You may just have an infection that can be treated with antibiotics, but the longer you put it off, the more negative side effects will happen to you. It won't go away by itself. Or you may be dealing with something like ovarian cysts, which may need to be treated surgically and/or with medicine. It's confusing because there are different conditions that can have the symptoms that you are experiencing.

Do you have a doctor you can trust? Or are you not comfortable going to a family doctor? Please know that you can go to a Planned Parenthood health clinic. They will test you for STDs, prescribe medicine and help you figure out what's going on. They are professional and knowledgeable and welcoming.

Here is their home page. You can put in your zip code and find a Planned Parenthood health center near you:

The service is low-cost, completely anonymous and confidential. You can go by yourself or with a friend.

Will you do this, Anon? It's really important to take care of yourself. At EmpowHer, we believe in women helping women, especially with information. I'm so glad you wrote to us, but now I want you to take the next step. Will you do that and come back and tell us what you found out?

Hi Anon!

I agree strongly with Diane, you need to be seen very soon by a health care professional.

The North Carolina Association of Free Clinics can help you. You can locate them here: www.ncfreeclinics.org . I'm sure Charlotte will have a several listings there.

Also, I know Huntersville is very close to you, there is a free clinic there:

Lake Norman Free Clinic
14230 Hunters Rd
Huntersville, NC 28078
(704) 947-6858

Their website is here: www.lknfreeclinic.org

Another free clinic is the The C.W. Williams Community Health Center
Phone: 704-971-1485

Their website is http://www.cwwilliams.org/CWWilliams/Home.html

I wish you the best and I hope this information helps you. Will you update us?
