About 5 weeks ago I experienced yellowish and excessive discharge with an odor that didn't seem normal. I tested my ph and it came back abnormal. I was certain I had an infection but I couldn't find time to see a doctor. It wasn't foul but it wasn't my normal scent so I had my period and then afterwards my discharge returned to a normal amount and the regular cloudy/white discharge with a hint of odor that's barely detectable. Do I still have a vaginal infection or has my body cleared itself of it? Is it alright to be still sexually active even though all signs point to a healthy vagina now?

Your infection (if you had one and it sounds like a possibility) may have cleared up but we can't say that for sure. To be on the safe side, I suggest a check-up.
