I am 48 years old and in the past year my cycle is just uncomfortable. I have been fortunate to have mild cycles with little discomfort and mood change. In the past year the cramps, back pain and overall achiness is increased. My mood is a bit more impacted and the 2nd day of the cycle is the most uncomfortable. The flow is heaviest and more clots on the 2nd day. Thanks!

Guide

Any changes in your menstrual cycle that you notice and which cause you concern need to be evaluated by your gynecologist. I suggest that you make an appointment to have a pelvic exam and any recommended diagnostic imaging such as an ultrasound to rule out any abnormalities.
