I've heard endless stories about botox. I have lines around my lips and eyes, i've heard it works really well around these areas, is this true?

Hi Lindsay!

Thanks for your post!

Botox, done by an experienced professional, can certainly ease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox is made up of the toxin called botulism (which is a poison) that is made safe for cosmetic use (as far as we know).

It is injected with a very fine needle into your wrinkles and does work best around the eyes, the II lines between your eyebrows and the forehead. Lines around the mouth generally need fillers, not Botox.

There is nothing wrong is lines on the face - it's natural and normal. But Botox (in moderation, you don't want to end up looking like a frozen wax model!) will certainly help you to eliminate these lines for several months.

Choose your provider carefully and ask about any potential side effects.
