Hi,
I was on 500MG of cipro twice a day this past Tuesday night through yesterday morning (Sat.). Took last cipro pill yesterday morning. I just started my new pack of birth control pills this morning (Sunday). Will the cipro have any affect on my new pack of pills since I took them while I was on inactive pills. My husband I had sex this evening and I am afraid of pregnancy if the cipro interferes with my birth control pills.

Thanks for you help!!

Hi screech,
You may want to double-check this information with your pharmacist with a quick phone call, but Cipro has not been shown to have an effect on oral contraception.(study from 1998: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9835524?dopt=Abstract).
