Does Yoga help with menopause symptoms?

I have been told by 3-4 of my women friends, that by diet alone and yoga 3 times a week, they have seen a major decrease in their hot flashes and menopause symptoms. And, if yes, does it matter what kind? Thanks.

Hi Sharon

Thanks for your question!

Yoga is great for anyone at any stage in life!

For menopausal women, yoga can help with depression, body aches and along with a healthy diet, can guard against weight gain.

It is also excellent for elongating the body and posture. Many menopausal women lose muscle mass and tone - yoga can bring that back.

Studies have also shown that yoga may be really helpful for many other symptoms - read all about that here:

Has this helped, Sharon?
