On the 15th day of my january cycle,i had unprotected sex and took p2 and my periods came on the 27th day which was the right day. On my feb cycle i had sex on the 9th day and suspected the condom was broken so i freaked out n took p2 and my periods came on the 20th day which was earlier than 7days.except from those two instances,i havent taken p2 since 2014. Now we decided to conceive and we've been having unprotected sex since the last day of my irregular period. today is cycle day 16 am feeling sort of cramps and i have a pimple that comes wen am a few days to periods. Could it be that the p2 is still working or what could be the problem?

Guide

Hello Cess,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

Changes in the menstrual cycle are a reported side effect of Postinor 2. That is why your period for February started earlier than expected.

Wait for your period to start this month. If you are late by at least one week, and considering you have been having unprotected intercourse, then test for pregnancy. For the most accurate result, test in the morning. Use the urine when you wake up.

Levels of hCG, which is the hormone produced during pregnancy, can be detected in urine about 12 to 14 days following conception. So, if your period is late, and it has been at least three weeks since you had sex, you should get an accurate result.

Regards,
Maryann
