Effects of Nordette Emergency Pill

I took nordette ECP immediately after sexual activity which as my day of ovulation. I had my menstruation 2 weeks after. I was expecting to have another menstration 5 days ago but there was none so im 5 days late. I had protected sex 2 weeks prior to my expected day of menstruation. Could this be an effect of nordette? or im just pregnant? I dont experience symptoms of pregnancy though.

I would like to seek your advice. I did the deed with my new guy last Saturday morning at 5am. I took 4pcs of Nordette around 1:25pm and the next 4pcs ar 1:25am. I am not feeling nauseous nor feel like vomiting. My breasts were not swollen but I feel sleepy most of the time. My first menstruation was October 4th and is expecting to have it again this November 4th. Do I need to take the rest of the pulls until I reach my bleeding or my expected menstruation date?

I am really freaking out.

Hoping for your quick response though.

Hello MsDee, Im not pro at this but as per instruction u only take 4 pills immediately after contact and another 4 after 12 hours.. Based on my experience, I had my menstruation approx. 2 weeks after i took the pills. I think all u just have to do is to wait and be patient

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. I am really on panic still but trying to keep myself relaxed. It would be the 5th day tomorrow from the date I took the pills and still got no side effects. I will try to wait for a couple of days as you experienced.

Thank you susan for the reply. I actually took took a pregnancy test a day after my missed period and another two days after. Both came out negative. Will nordette permanently mess up my cycle??

Hi Anon!

Yes, this could be an effect from emergency contraception. Sometimes the month after can be irregular but since you had a period since, pregnancy should not be an issue but to know for sure, you will need to take a pregnancy test to know if you are pregnant - we can't help you with that.
