Hello. My last cycle was September 24th, I have a 32 day cycle, I was suppose to start my period yesterday. I am a virgin, and my boyfriend and I were fooling around on the 14th of October. I don't like to use this language but I am in dying need of answers as I am scared I am pregnant. We normally start by fingering me then I give him a blowjob, once we were done, we decided to go another round....he finished wiping off all his semen off himself then his hands, then after that we cuddled and kissed and he fingered me again. My question is, sure he wiped his hands, but if he missed a spot and there was some semen on him, could it get me pregnant? I have sore boobs and lower back pain like I normally do before I start my period but now I am late. I also am on a antibiotic called minocycline for my acne and I heard some girls say it delays their period. I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it said negative and I will take another one second week. I don't know if its the stress thats delaying it either. Im so scared. Im too young to be pregnant.

Hello Roxie4me,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your concern.

With a 32 day menstrual cycle, October 14 would have been day 21. Most women ovulate between day 11 and day 21 of the cycle. I would think, with the length of your cycle, you ovulated around day 16. If so, you were not a risk for becoming pregnant.

Hopefully, your boyfriend wiped away all the semen. It would have been better if he washed his hands with soap and water. Sperm can live outside the body for about 20 minutes. So, luck would have been on your side if he fingered you again, 20 or more minutes later.

Stress can delay the start of your period. A word of advice, please choose and use some type of birth control. In the heat of the moment, intercourse is just one step away.

Regards,
Maryann

Hi Maryann, he used a wet wipe and wipes all over his hands and I read that once sperm is DRY it is dead, so after using a few wet wipes then it drying from 10-15 minutes later I would assume there would be no chance of pregnancy. Hope you get notified of this so you can reply

Hi Roxie4me,

With that added information, I think there was no risk for becoming pregnant.

Ok. I should probably relax a little bit. My stomach right now is making weird noises like gurgle sounds and breasts are a little tender with some lower back pain. When should I worry if I don't start my cycle?? And should I take my pregnancy test next Tuesday just to be sure? Or sooner??

Hi Roxie4me,

Try hard to relax. If your periods are regular, and this one is late by at least one week, then you can test. For the most accurate result, test in the morning and use the urine when you first wake up.

I started my period, is it implantation bleeding or pregnancy still? From research I don't think it's implantation bleeding because it's AFTER my expected period.. is 3 days late for period normal from stress

Hello Roxie4me,

Try to relax. There is nothing to worry or stress over. Stressing out is probably why your period is presenting this way.
