Is this even possible-Pregnancy after Tubal..??

I had a tubal ligation about a year ago this May. My periods have always been like clockwork... 28 day cycles, and I can pin point the day. I can even feel my ovulation, and which side its on. I missed my normal period 7 days ago. I feel nauseated, dizzy, increased appetite, extreme fatigue during the day, I had sore breasts a few days before and after my missed period but that has passed, and a sharp pain in my lower right side, around my hip area. I also dont feel the urge or desire to smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol....which has always been a tale-tale sign of pregnancy for me in the past. I have 4 children, and know the changes in my body, but my tubal that I had last year is what is throwing me off. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday afternoon- negative, and one this morning, early-also negative. I called my OB/GYN Midwives office and explained the symptoms...they said my best bet is to go to the ER. I really don't want to spend 4-6 hours in the ER if Im just over reacting for nothing. I also called my Endo, since I suffer from Hypothyrodism, and she claimed that my medication and/or my disorder would have no effect on my body causing those symptoms -together. Im very nervous that I may be carrying an eptopic pregnancy, or a pregnancy at all. My husband and I do not want anymore children. There is no added stress in my life, more than normal anyways. We havent moved, changed jobs, schools, we are in a good place in our marriage, etc. Am I going crazy, or should all this really be cause for concern? I've seen hundreds of posts on various websites with women claiming the same symptoms, and all with different outcomes. Some guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I went to the ER today. After a 5 hour visit, the ER physician determined that I had kidney stones and a bladder infection. He did a urine test and blood test to check for pregnancy, both negative, and then preformed a CAT scan, which found the kidney stones. I've been placed on two seperate antibiotics and some mild pain meds. It was never explained why I haven't started my period beyond "Well, you're not pregnant!" I still can't help, despite not wanting anymore children, that there is something else going on, or that there may still be a chance that I am indeed pregnant. I just have a gut feeling....

Anyways, that's my update. If anything more comes of it, I will post.
Thank you for your guidance.

Hey anonymous, Thanks for writing. A very small number of women can become pregnant after undergoing a tubal ligation and it varies based on how many years ago the procedure was performed. Nearly 5 out of 1,000 women can get pregnant after a year. After five years, that number goes up to 13 out of 1,000 women. A woman can become pregnant after tubal if the tubes grow back together or a few passage forms (this is known as recanalization). The process can allow an egg to become fertilized by the sperm or if the surgery wasn’t performed correctly.

Another thought -- have there been any changes in your diet recently that may have caused some of what you're experiencing? For example, sometimes caffeine can be associated with upset stomach or breast tenderness (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/breast-cysts/AN00889)

And while I understand not wanting to wait in the ER when you feel like it might be nothing, have you considered an urgent care facility or another option where you can see a doctor relatively quickly with a short wait time? You've been very proactive in calling your doctors, checking out forums and posting your question here. I'd keep up the trend and get tested or checked out by a professional. Please update us.

I think I have no other choice at this point, I will be going to the ER....as there are no urgent care facilities in my area (rual). Thank you. I will update as I find out more.
