Extreme Stomach Burning

I'm a 15 year old girl who is very active. I have been diagnosed with anxiety but have worked through a lot of it with a councillor. Every few days I get really bad stomach burning which makes me have lots of gas and sometimes diarrhea. The pain gets really bad and no medication seems to help. I just have to wait out the pain seeing as I can't do anything to fix it. I've looked all over the internet and haven't found anything like what I'm experiencing. Also sometimes it feels like somethings caught in my throat, but I don't know if it's nausea or not... What's wrong with me?

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. My first thought about your question is that you may be experiencing acid reflux or heart burn. Does this burning feeling occur after you eat something? You may want to pay close attention to what you are eating and when the burning sensation occurs as there may be a coorelation.

If that is not the case, you should really get checked by your treating physician.

I hope this helps and good luck.
