I have a 3 inch new facial scar and believe that massage helps them heal. I have got some Dermatix silicone gel which I believe also helps does anyone have any advice about massaging the scar to help it from become hard and lumpy and less noticiable with it being on my cheek/jaw Many thanks

May 18, 2011 - 9:11amThank you for your question and for joining EmpowHER. If your scar is particularly bothersome, you may want to consult with your doctor about it, and possibly ask to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon (for example if the scar was caused by an injury) for their advice.
