Hello.

I'm not sure what you mean by all of a sudden there is nothing they can do? What was done from age 10 to 56?

I hope you can find a doctor that might be able to help.

Hello.

Has this happened before? It's possible you are having an allergic reaction of some sort if this came on suddenly.

Sometimes diseases that affect the entire body, such as diabetes, heart or kidney disease, can result in excess fluid buildup (edema) that is often concentrated in the legs and feet, leading to swelling not only of the ankles but also of the feet and lower legs.

If the swelling continues you need to see a doctor so you know what is causing it.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  I can imagine how you must be feeling.  One of the side effects of Epilim is Inflammation of blood vessels (vasculitis).  Which can cause inflammation in legs. It might good to talk to your doctor about this. It can be due to your medication or other conditions can also cause swelling on legs, ankels and feet like.

  • Being overweight
  • Blood clot in the leg
  • Increased age
  • Leg infection
  • Veins in the legs that cannot properly pump blood back to the heart
