I just recently noticed spurs in the last few months. Both are located on the outer middle foot. I believe it from over wearing my new clogs. I have consulted with a doctor and he has advised surgery for 5,000. I wondering and hoping I can remove them without surgery. Especial since the two spurs are recent. I'm becoming very frustrated in speak with doctors without other opinions.

Here is some helpful information on bone spurs: EmpowHER article: bone spurs.

The article says to treat bone spurs, surgery is the treatment to remove the extra bone. However...if you are not having any symptoms, treatment is not necessary. You can treat your symptoms with injections, changing footwear, losing weight or massage.

Are you experiencing any problematic symptoms?

Yes, I'm having some pain with some shoes. And, I'm not happy with the appearance of the spurs. I have nice looking feet beside this new problem. What kind of injections would help this bone spur go away? I know surgery is best it's so costly.

Thank you so much for answering my question.

The injections were just for the inflammation and pain, unfortunately the only treatment to make the spurs go away would be to surgically remove them.

We'll keep looking for other options, but it seems all other treatments are for the symptoms (pain, inflammation, etc) and the only remedy to get rid of the spurs is surgery.

Do you have health insurance that would help with the cost?
