Hi Zizoy-

I am most certain you are not old!

You may be entering menopause, or at least perimenopause. As you get older, your hormones start to change and so do your periods. perimenopause is a sort of wind-up to menopause. We have a great section on this: https://www.empowher.com/condition/perimenopause

You can find out for sure just what is going on with you by going to your health care provider. They can draw blood and test for hormones, and if some of them are decreasing it is indicative of perimenopause. You don't have to do this, however. Unless symptoms are really bothering you like night sweats, hot flashes, or heavy bleeding and cramps you can just know in your mind this may be what is happening and keep on your normal schedule with Paps.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the club!
