Getting rid of hot flashes

I have started HRT and was wondering, do you still have hot flashes, or are they just fewer and farther between? I am on a really low dose. My hot flashes seem to be less but not gone completely. Only a couple a day. I can live with that.

Thanks,

Hi,
I wanted to share what some women have posted on EmpowHER regarding their hot flash treatments:
- Hot flashes possible causes and possible treatments
- EmpowHER: Hot Flash Treatments
- EmpowHER: Facial Flushing and Hot Flashes during Menopause

Can you tell us what type of HRT you are using, as we may be able to find some literature that describes "What you can expect" regarding symptom relief. Here is some information from the EmpowHER Menopause condition page on HRT:
"Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
A number of different types of hormones are available. They include:
* Natural, synthetic, and plant-derived estrogens
* Progesterone
* Combinations of estrogen and progesterone
* Addition of small amounts of male hormones
HRT is available as tablets, gels, skin patches, vaginal rings, vaginal tablets, injections, and pellets inserted into the skin."
