Green light Laser enlarged prostate surgery

I had green light laser surgery for my enlarged prostate in Jan. 2012. As a result of that surgery I now have retrograde ejaculation, loss of feeling in my genitals, and bladder leakage. My prostate surgeon Dr. Quenton Cancell never told me that any of that could happen before he did the surgery. When I confronted him about it weeks later he said about the retrograde ejaculation, Well, that doesn't matter, unless your'e going to have more children. He didn't bother to ask me was I planning on having more children before doing the surgery however. My question is, why would he treat me that way?, and be so cold and callous, and uncaring about the surgery? Also I Took 3 urine samples to him at different times after my next to nothing climaxes to test for semen in the urine. Semen was clearly Visable in the bottom of the sample jars, yet I was told there was no semen in either one. Why would he lie to me like that? I'm very angry and frustrated! I wish I'd never had that horrible surgery!

Hi nevertrust,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Sorry you feel this way.  But, any concerns you might have about your surgery.  It's important to discuss with your doctor.  If you feel he is lying to you, it might be best to get a second opinion from a different specialist.

Best,

Daisy
