I had sex on March 26 without protection. My period came April 3. This is the day I started taking my first set of Lutera. My period was three days early but I didn't think much of it. Since I have started taking it I have been bleeding it has been light th past couple of weeks. I thought that I could have gotten pregnant from the last time I had sex so I took a test April 21. It came up negative. I have been experiencing cloudy urine and frequent trips to the bathroom. I do have fibroids. Could these symptoms be a sign of pregnancy?

Dear cynogin,
Thank you for join ing the EmpowHER community and for sharing your question.
There's always a chance of getting pregnant even when on birth control. But if you have taken it as directed, the risks are rather low.
You could still be having symptoms of the flu or even digestive symptoms. It's best not to worry yourself about it until your period is suppose to come. If you want to ease your mind, a pregnancy test 14 days after unprotected sex should be accurate or once you have actually missed your period.
I am sure you are just fine and experiencing the flu. Try taking a home pregnancy test in the next several days to know for sure.
Did this help?
Best,
Kristin
