I had reconstructution of my palate in Feb 2010 and I am going thru Chemo Treatments from Breast Cancer. My Oncologist is not able to give me the full dose of toxins due to my palate swelling and my physical body not able to with stand the complete treatments. After Chemo treatment, the side effects contribute to the mouth area

Hi,
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis of breast cancer and surgery for palate reconstruction. I cannot offer any advice, since I have not undergone that procedure. However, I have undergone chemotherapy, as well as radiation therapy and multiple surgeries because of brain cancer. Will your oncologist prescribe intervals of chemotherapy of lower dosage to destroy the cancer cells but not overly tax your body? Chemotherapy drugs do have an impact on the healthy cells, too. Hair cells and cells in the gastrointestinal tract multiple at a very fast rate and these cells are the first healthy cells to be affected. I am sure that your oncologist has discussed all the side effects with you and will order the treatment that is best for you.
