The new world of Epigenetics suggests that knowing your "book of life" (DNA/genes) in advance would help doctors guide the direction of your health treatments long before a disease manifests. There is more evidence than with proper nutrition our genes can respond by modifying its programming (this is called DNA expression) thus preventing certain illnesses.
