ask: Having a baby regulated my period until recently. Now I'm skipping periods or only spotting for several week at a time. What could cause this?

Before I had my son I would only have periods about 3 or 4 times a year. This has been going on for about 4 years. Before that they were always normal and on time.

Hi Anon,

Thanks for your posting. I just want some clarification on what is happening with your cycle. First off, how old are you? When did you have your baby? What were your cycles like before your pregnancy? What are they like now? Have you had any work up done with your physician? Do you have any significant health problems?
